In a monetary sense, pre-natal DNA testing is considered more expensive than the standard post-natal tests. This is because, in order to take paternity test while pregnant, certain procedures and sometimes using high state medical gadgets are often used as compared to the simple gathering of blood, buccal and umbilical cord samples. There are two methods often used in hospitals in order to conduct pre-natal DNA testing; the Amniocentesis and the CVS or Chorionic Villus Sampling.
